Acusaciones de doble rasero en las interacciones civiles

Las democracias liberales se han ido debilitando. Y hay quienes sostienen que esto se debe a la erosión de los compromisos democráticos en las sociedades. Los teóricos de la esfera civil, por su parte, han sugerido que dicha tendencia tiene sus raíces en las prácticas de generación de sentido a través de las cuales los ciudadanos delimitan diariamente en sus interacciones civiles lo legítimo de lo ilegítimo. En este artículo, discutiré los límites de esta aproximación mostrando cómo puede complementarse para captar más eficazmente la erosión del tejido civil en las sociedades contemporáneas que subyace a los procesos de debilitamiento democrático. Esto me llevará a poner en evidencia el papel que en esto tienen las acusaciones de doble rasero en las interacciones civiles.
