Abstract

This article studies the recent and spectacular immigratory phenomenon that Spain is living, with a massive arrival of foreigners that is turning to this state in one of which have a greater proportion of immigrants with respect to the total of his population within the European Union. Most of those arrivals are of people coming from Ibero–America. The study is centered in this group, and more concretely in its labor characteristics: spatial distribution of the Latin American workers by the Spanish territory, differentiation by sexes, characteristics of its contracts and how it affects unemployment to them.
