Abstract

From the range of new ways of intolerance seen in our times, racism stands out as a social behavior and as a political ideology which establishes a grading of societies depending on people’s natural and physical characteristics, but also on their cultural heritage. This paper examines the concept of racism, its expressions, transformation and reproduction. It is held that racism is today an economy of the mind simplifying the complex reality and also generating exclusion practices.
