Notas para el análisis de las políticas sociales. Una propuesta desde el institucionalismo

Abstract

The aim of this article is to interpret the transformations in the most important social policies in Latin America that have taken place during the process of structural adjustment, still in progress in some areas. To that end, emphasis is placed on the role of institutions, understood as standards, informal agreements and traditions that limit but at the same time facilitate the interaction of social and state actors in all public actions where conflicting interests and values are involved.
