Abstract

is article analyzes the opinions, attitudes and values of the Uruguayan parliamentary class related to two areas. On one hand, it examines the degree of their democratic political culture, according to different dimensions. On the other hand, an analysis is made of their positions with regards the different institutional proposals for two aspects that should be considered essential for the definition of the institutional architecture of a political system: their opinions and preferences regarding the electoral system, and their opinions and preferences towards different forms of government.
