Transformaciones estructurales, crisis política y elecciones en Brasil

Abstract

Important structural transformations led to the break-up of the power monopoly held by traditional elites and to the rise of a new elite resulting from the socio-economic diversification in industrialized Brazil. The economic and social crisis, election results, emerging political forces, and transformations carried out in the country’s public spaces during the last decade are discussed.
